A magnetic nail polish quick reference guide, created by @iamtinyevie over on instagram. Regarding magnetic nail polish, the following application technique is generally applicable to most of the styles referenced in the above guide.

1. Apply base coat.
2. Apply one thin coat of magnetic nail polish. Let dry 1-2 minutes.
3. Apply a thicker coat of magnetic nail polish and hold magnet in the preferred referenced style for approximately 30s-1 minute.
4. Apply top coat and hold magnet in the same position as in step 3 for 30s-1 minute.

Notes: The longer you position the magnet during the drying times for the nail polish, the crisper the effect will be. If you do not hold the magnet for at least 30 seconds, the effect will undergo "dispersion."

Dispersion occurs when the nail polish is still wet beneath the top layer of polish/top coat and the magnetic particles start to drift away from the point of magnetization due to the natural curve most nails have.
